Struck in 22-carat gold, the coin contains approximately 3.99 grams total weight with a standard fine gold content of 3.66 grams. The obverse displays Queen Victoria facing left with the legend “VICTORIA DEI GRATIA” and the date below, while the reverse features the crowned quartered shield of the Royal Arms surrounded by the inscription “BRITANNIARUM REGINA FID: DEF:”. The edge is reeded (milled).
