ID Requirements

AUSTRAC requires, under the Anti Money Laundering & Counter Terrorism Financing legislation, that customer identification procedures be undertaken for certain transactions by suppliers of "designated services".  Galaxy Coins is a bullion dealer, and as such is required to comply with the relevant laws with regards to customer identification.

For orders of $5,000 AUD or more, or if the items are being delivered regardless of value, verified customer identification is required by law.

Before any order of $5,000 AUD or more is shipped or available for collection, we must have met our customer identification obligation, with no exceptions.  This includes, but is not limited to, your full name, address, and date of birth if you are an individual, or business name, address, and ABN/ACN in addition to your personal information if you are purchasing on behalf of or as a part of a business.

Acceptable identification is a government issued photo ID, a drivers licence or passport for example.  This must be a certified copy, sent via post.

Galaxy Coins has your privacy and confidentiality as a priority.  We do not automatically provide your information to AUSTRAC, and only do so if we consider the transaction suspicious, or if $10,000 or more of the transaction is paid for in cash.  We do not pass, sell, loan or disseminate your information provided for identification purposes to any unrelated entity.
